High precision freeform cutting allowing us to cut intricate curves, undercuts & complex profiles that are either impossible or extremely time consuming and labour intensive when carried out with traditional equipment. They also have a very narrow and clean cutting kerf, allowing tight tolerances and smooth surface finishes.

Taglio Slab Vision, Vertical Slab Scanning System

This system allows us to digitise the slabs of stone to the highest detail. SlabVision uses a high resolution industrial linear camera and LED lighting system in order to render the real colours of the material, each scan captures the attributes of the stones, encompassing colour, thickness quality and size measurements. This allows us to vein match slabs, nest projects with precision to minimise material wastage, and also mark-up and work with areas of interest, such as a crack or pit that can be maintained.

This also allows us to involve the client in the manufacturing journey, providing accurate 3D visual representation of the stone surfaces, showing the vein matching and maximise the visual appeal in line with the clients tastes, such as having particular sections of vein flow of the stone, positioned in areas where is most visible, i.e; centre of a bar front or splashback.

Cobalm CNC Milling Centre

A high speed & precise CNC milling machine that allows us to cut, shape & polish a very large range of complex profiles and shapes from slabs of stone. Our current profiles include all standard square & mitred aris, lambs tongue, bullnose, provincial edge, grooving, drainboards. Other specialist profiles are also available upon request.
